About
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of visiting Choolaah, a remarkable eatery that brings the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine to Beachwood, OH. Famed for its halal offerings, Choolaah provides a delightful dining experience that caters to diverse palates, making it a perfect spot for everyone from families to food enthusiasts.
Choolaah is in a league of its own, akin to popular fast-casual chains but with an Indian twist. Guests are invited to build their own bowls, integrating fresh ingredients and savory spices that define Indian cuisine. Imagine digging into warm white basmati rice topped with succulent tikka masala chicken, grilled vegetables, and freshly baked naan. Each dish bursts with flavor, elevating your meal into a truly tantalizing experience.
The ambiance at Choolaah strikes a balance between casual dining and an inviting atmosphere. Notable for its friendly staff, many reviews praise the service, highlighting instances where team members go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. One customer, Carol L., noted the amazing service she received from Lisa, who patiently explained the menu and offered samples before she made her selection. It’s these personal touches that make each visit special.
Choolaah caters to various dietary preferences, providing vegan options and limited vegetarian choices. This inclusiveness is especially commendable, as highlighted by numerous guests who enjoyed customizable veggie bowls. Whether you opt for a protein-packed salmon atop a bed of fresh greens or try their flavorful samosa chaat, the options here resonate well with health-conscious diners.
Choolaah goes beyond its delicious cuisine by embracing modern conveniences. The restaurant offers delivery, takeout, and even allows you to place reservations. They accept various payment methods, including credit cards and even cryptocurrency! Moreover, you'll find that the store champions sustainability with plastic-free packaging, a feature that’s increasingly important to eco-conscious consumers.
In a city bustling with food options, Choolaah stands out not just for its flavorful, halal offerings but also for its commitment to excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re launching into lunch or enjoying a relaxed dinner, Choolaah promises a unique dining experience. Don’t miss the chance to savor every last bite. Trust me, you can thank me later!

“ What a great experience. The person that took my order I think her name is Lisa was absolutely amazing and explained a lot of different information since I haven't been here before. I was even able to get a couple of samples before purchasing. The service was extremely quick efficient. I didn't wait more than a few minutes. I also like that they have a veggie bowl without a bunch of rice and carbohydrates I was able to get the veggie bowl with salmon as a protein on top. Everything was amazing. ”
“ So good, great lunch spot when time matters, think Chipotle but Indian food where you build your own bowl. Will definitely go back. ”
“ First visit, great experience. Food was served warm and delicious. Servings were ample. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Associates were friendly and helpful and patient. ”
“ Just wow, this was quite delicious! The white Basmati rice alone was incredible and just lifting the lid the aroma gets your mouth watering, the Chicken with the Tikka Masala sauce was so good I wanted to just drink the sauce, but adding in the grilled vegetables and Naan really just enhanced the flavors along with a glass of the lemonade really just complimented it perfectly ”
“ Came here for dessert and would love to come back and try their food. It is like a Qdoba or Chipotle but for Indian food. But there are other items as well. We got the kulfi which was a perfect size for 1 person. 3.6 ounces of delish. They only have malai flavor though. Would like to see other flavors. I tried the mango lassi which was good, think it was like 12oz. Got the samosa chaat to go as well. This was interesting because we had to build it since it was to go. This was very good. The sauces and everything were good and flavorful. The (hottest) hot sauce was actually spicy. There is cute decor inside with plenty of seating. Service was nice. ”
“ Ambience is good. Food is average. Not authentic. Service is fast though. ”
“ Food: Really pleased with all our items. I ordered the family meal. Everything was tasty, but the highlights were the naan (maybe the best I've had) & the masala sauce. Service: OK. Did not dine-in. One person helped me through the whole pickup, but there were 3 other people glued to one of the ordering screens looking at or trying to fix something and none of them ever looked up or greeted or anything. Price: Getting the family meal felt like a good value compared to getting things a la carte, but still it's a bit pricey to make regular visits if we lived nearby. Atmosphere: A clean interior and atmosphere that is an attractive mix of sleek & casual. A great experience for we out-of-towners! ”
“ Choolah is a monthly go-to, with their fresh baked naan, savory bowls, and mouth-watering samosas. The customer service is also great -- make sure you fill out those experience surveys, because they reward their customers well! ”
“ Think Chipotle but Indian-American food. Fast casual service and ambiance but really nice place. Food is good, their Naan and mango Lassi is really good. You can choose a wrap or a bowl. Worth trying but you will be paying a bit more than Chipotle. ”
“ We've found the Indian version of fast food! Corey and I had our eyes fixated on this restaurant before we arrived. As the day progressed I could almost taste basmati rice assuming that would be on the menu. It was! I must say, "Choolaah didn't disappoint!" I can't speak for their OGs in regards to the former price and quantity differentials. All I know is the look of satisfaction on Cory's face was priceless as he devoured his lamb naan wrap. I had the Perfect Balance Bowl with Paneer, Veggies, Basmati Rice, Tikka Masala, and Naan. We both tried a specialty drink which was uniquely delicious-- Cory had the Mango Lassi & I had the Mint and Ginger Lemonade. ”
